Kristine Gregory, Pharm.D., RPh
Be the Change Founder
Kristine has 13+ years experience serving in 8 countries; after her 25th mission trip, she lost count. The variety of locations, organizations and leadership roles she’s experienced have revealed many opportunities to enhance the way we serve international communities and thus Be the Change was created. She received her Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Texas in Austin College and was recognized for her international efforts through the Excellence in Patient Care award. She has traveled all 7 continents, cherish time with her husband & baby boy and takes advantage of long commutes and jogs with audiobooks.
Monica Jamaluddin
Board Member / Co-Founder
Monica has over 10 years of experience working with diverse organizations ranging from non-profits and social ventures to startups and large corporations across the Americas, Africa, and Asia. She applies her expertise in finance, strategy and operations to help organizations tackle their biggest challenges so they can be effective, efficient and impactful. Monica's mission in life is to help others achieve theirs and she is currently pursuing this through Sandbox Advisors, her small business advisory firm based in New York. In her free time, Monica can be found climbing mountains, practicing the saxophone, or playing backgammon.
Nathan Yap
Board Member
Nathan has been an entrepreneur since the age of 8, selling soda and drinks to his parents' dinner party guests. He is the founder and CEO of the FBC Group of Companies, which employs over 200 people across multiple industries (BPO, healthcare, retail, and wellness). FBC's foundation has also "adopted" an orphanage in the Philippines, providing scholarships as well as much needed funds for housing improvement and other educational initiatives. He also serves on the local Houston board of directors of Entrepreneurs' Organization, a global organization of over 12,000 entrepreneurs all striving to make a positive impact on their community.
Anne Nguyen
Board Member
Raised in Houston, Texas, Anne received her Bachelor of Biology and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees at the University of Texas at Austin. Her 2-year pharmacy residency and her Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Health Outcomes & Policy provided her the skill sets to work in teams, strategize to develop projects from the ground up, and analytically solve problems. Serving on multiple medical mission trips and for numerous volunteer events has inspired Anne to keep paying it forward because of the great need in many communities for basic healthcare and education. Anne's travel goal is to visit 50 places and hike at 50 national parks by age 50. Anne also loves to spend her time planning social events with her family and friends.
Nick Maudlin
Board Member
Nick Maudlin was born and raised in Kemah, Texas. He is fourth generation in the local marine industry. Nick received his US Coast Guard 100 ton Masters license at 19 years old, and has over 17 years of experience in business operations. He is currently a marine surveyor, partner at Newberry & Associates. Nick loves being on the water and traveling as much as possible with his wife and two boys. He has a heart for helping and serving others, excited to watch where God’s plan leads.
Travis Badger, Esq.
Board Member
Travis was raised in East Bernard, Texas with four brothers. In 2008, he graduated from Houston Baptist University where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration. In 2012, he graduated from South Texas College of Law where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence and was later admitted and licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas as an attorney and counselor at law in the state of Texas. He is a partner at Badger Law, PLLC where he enjoys practicing law with his partner and father, Bruce Badger. An important part of his practice is representing small businesses and non-profit corporations from the ground up and throughout the growth plan. Since 2012, he has served on the Board of Directors of Washfest, Inc., which is a non-profit organization that hosts a Texas music festival to raise funds and awareness for children’s cancer research and other local charities through its partnership with The Snowdrop Foundation and other organizations. Travis is a member of the Houston Bar Association and Fort Bend County Bar Association where he enjoys serving veterans through numerous programs and working with the Houston Food Bank. Travis also serves as a volunteer boat captain for the Warriors Weekend which is a fishing tournament for wounded veterans in Port O Connor, Texas. Travis is a member of Second Baptist Church Houston and he and his family attend and serve the 1463 Campus. Travis is married to Tawny Badger with two beautiful children, JR and Laralyn. Travis enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time outdoors with his family and friends.
Nina Gomez
Creative Director
Nina Gomez is a digital designer that enjoys traveling the world as much as possible. When she isn’t seeking international adventures, she works in advertising in Los Angeles and immerses herself in learning new skills such as Human-Centered Design and teaching Photoshop at General Assembly. Nina’s passion for helping people brought her to Be the Change to help with their outreach efforts.
James Gregory
Logistics Coordinator
James graduated from Texas Maritime Academy as a ship's Officer and climbing the ranks to Captain. Through this experience, he learned many valuable traits and qualities to work with the locals from the ports of call of many countries. His entrepreneurial spirit redirected his career and in doing so greatly inspired Kristine to take the leap and start Be the Change. James has a knack for flipping cars/boats/motorcycles, knows his way around the kitchen and can draw cartoons to make anyone smile.
Joseph Brewster
Myanmar Division Manager
Joseph has a passion for people and a heart to help those who love leading by example. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree and is now a full-time pharmacy manager. He became actively involved in international missions in 2012 and has since gone on 10 mission trips around the world to include Peru, Mexico, Philippines, and Myanmar. He is passionate about helping the underserved communities and is a firm believer that with God, all things are possible. His faith inspires him to do more and leads him each day to be the best version of himself. In his spare time, he loves to travel the world and salsa dance and on his days off, you’ll most likely find him on a plane traveling the world enjoying life and experiencing different cultures.
Azlin Brewster
Myanmar Operations Coordinator
Azlin Brewster is a dynamic creative professional. Her strengths are organization and administration. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management/Administration and has served in the United States Army for 7 years as a logistician. Azlin currently works in Information Technology and loves using her gifts to promote outreach. She is a resourceful problem solver and thrives under pressure. Her interests include all things DIY and holds a growing love in graphic and web design. She is a wife and mother and her passion for helping others helped launch her first nonprofit, SMAK (Small Acts of Kindness). Azlin is devoted to helping shape change in the world around her and looks forward to pushing this vision with Be the Change Global Outreach.

Christine Wicke, PharmD, BCPS, BCACP, CDE is a clinical pharmacy specialist that specializes in the management of chronic disease states. Dr. Wicke is dedicated to providing first class care to underserved and indigent populations - this is what led her to Be The Change Global Outreach. Improving diabetes care is her passion!
